Father Chrysanthos, Father Peter, and the Parish Council, together with the Stewardship Committee, invite our parish youth to join the Young Stewards of Saint George, our newest ministry!

Young Stewards to Help Narthex Committee

We invite Young Stewards to shadow the Narthex Committee during Sunday’s church service. This will be one of many ways our Young Stewards will provide their time and talent to gain an understanding of what it means to be a steward of Saint George. If you are a Young Steward or a parent of one, sign up to support the Narthex Committee on Sundays.

As a Narthex volunteer, Young Stewards will support the church by:

  • Welcoming parishioners to church

  • Handing out the church bulletin

  • Ushering parishioners to the pews

  • Cleaning the Icons

  • Replenishing the candles

  • Helping keep the Communion line organized

  • Guide parishioners in an orderly fashion during dismissal to receive Andithoron (Αντίδωρον)

Please sign up your child(ren) for up to 2 time slots

If you are interested in helping the Narthex Committee on Sundays, please click on the button below to sign up for a slot.

Young Stewards of St. George 2025

It was a memorable 2024 for our newest ministry, Young Stewards of Saint George with more than 50 youth signed up!

Over the year, the Young Stewards participated in fun meetings (Young Stewards Kick-off, Fall Mixer and Christmas Celebration). They sure did show their faithful spirit by giving back to the Church and Community by providing their Time, Talent, and Treasures helping in the Narthex, Hot Meals to Go, Bike Project, Project HOPE, and Lincoln Park Greek Fest.

Please have your child(ren) sign up to become Young Stewards in 2025.

We would love to hear from parents to brainstorm ideas for this second year of the ministry.

For more information, feel free to reach out to our Young Stewards, Alexandra Sepsis and Adam Hiotis,  or Roula Arceo, chair of the committee.

The Young Stewards of Saint George will bring the spirit of stewardship and a greater sense of community to the youth of the church. The ministry will educate our Young Stewards about the importance of personal generosity; offer ways they can engage with their communities and church and foster a sense of ownership of their life commitments and the shared responsibility they have in our spiritual home.

Thank you Young Stewards of St. George for generously volunteering your time, talent, and treasure for Community, Church, and Faith!
